Isn't this beautiful?

I heard Robert Fanning's poem, "Crooked Wisdom," on the radio today being read by Garrison Keillor.

Garrison Keillor is best known for his work on the radio show, A Prairie Home Companion. It's one of my favorite shows, so when I heard his voice this morning, I tuned in and realized it was his other program, The Writer's Almanac.

Fanning's poetry is poignant and down-to-Earth, ironic without smirking, humorous without malice. "Crooked Wisdom" moved me, and I want to share it.

What is this thing, to be moved by beauty? I still don't understand it, but I don't suppose I need to.

Take care,

I.
